Notice about Nora Inu Anime's release of Ghost Sweeper Mikami:

To be honest, someone came to me with the idea of using VHS subber scripts, giving them credit,
and releasing eps for ourselves. The problem is that

1. We need a translation checker. If we had one, we would have episode 18 out already because
we have up to episode 18 translated. The scripts need checking and have translation holes.

2. There's no records that they finished the series, either. The last reported VHS ep of Ghost Sweeper Mikami is around episode 28, with 45 perhaps as a prelude to the movie which is available used here. So, eventually, they may run into the same problem we are having: no complete translations. In fact, a lot of the old Geocities anime distribution lists have a gap at 17-25. They may be as stuck as we are.

We have nothing against Nora Inu Anime, and I somehow doubt that they are the ones rereleasing episodes. However, releasing 13-16 digitally without releasing 1-12 is borderline vulture subbing.

I'm also stunned that they released those episodes without contacting us.

Bottom line: Yes, we would like to continue subbing the series. To be honest, the one(s) releasing the Nora Inu Anime version may have thought us a dead group since our webpage went down for a while (okay, a long time), but it would have been nice for you to contact either me (shin) or HeadlessCow. We still need a good, reliable translator. If you can help out, please contact one of us on IRC (shin, headlesscow, Thadir, and akikonomu).
